NOVESTA
NOVESTA was quietly founded in 1939 in the historic BATA Industrial Park, a small town in the former Czechoslovakia called Partizánske.
This shoe factory, specializing in rubber and canvas products, has consistently produced purely Slovakian footwear since its founding, including military, work, rubber boots, and running shoes, through the historical changes of World War II, the post-war Cold War, the socialist era, and the division of the country.
In 1992, one year before the division of Czechoslovakia, NOVESTA was launched as a purely Slovakian sneaker brand, which has become renowned as one of Europe's leading factories in the half century since its founding. Since then, NOVESTA has continued to grow as an original brand while also promoting a variety of collaborative projects with brands from around the world.
NOVESTA continues to create handmade sneakers that retain the European delicacy and rustic texture of Eastern Europe.
