In the town of Partizánske in former Czechoslovakia, NOVESTA was quietly born in 1939 within the historic BATA Industrial Park, located in that small town.
The shoe factory, specializing in rubber and canvas products, has consistently produced pure Slovakian footwear since its establishment, including military, work, rubber boots, and running shoes, throughout the course of World War II, the post-war Cold War, the socialist era, and the historical division of the country.
In 1992, one year before the split of Czechoslovakia, the factory had established itself as a leading European factory over half a century since its founding, and launched NOVESTA, a pure Slovakian sneaker brand. Since then, NOVESTA has continued to grow as an original brand, collaborating with various brands worldwide to present diverse collaborative projects to the world.
NOVESTA continues to create handmade sneakers that retain European delicacy and the rustic texture of Eastern Europe.
