A lidded bag inspired by the "Kopid," a traditional vintage portable basket of Taiwan's Pangcah people.It is also a small toolbox of the Amis people, used to hold small hunting tools, and sometimes as a convenient bag for carrying cooked rice when going out for farm work.The structure of the lidded bag is the purest form of carrying luggage from an era when buttons and metal fittings did not exist.It is sized to hold a long wallet, phone, and small items, and the strap is adjustable.It is carefully handmade by indigenous artisans in their workshop.

Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide has a smooth finish with a unique appearance and feel. Cowhide tanned with natural plant extracts nourishes and changes over time, acquiring a patina.

Rather than a view, campaign, etc., with a strong belief in being an object, KAMARO'AN started in 2013 as a project by a team of two industrial designers and one indigenous cultural researcher, exploring the possibility of embodying traditional crafts and cultural values in product design..
Inspired by indigenous Taiwanese culture, KAMARO'AN pursues delicate craftsmanship with clean designs and works closely with local artisans and resources to create workplaces for young people with indigenous backgrounds, supporting and maintaining local traditions and working conditions.The name KAMARO'AN is derived from Pangcah (Pangcah), the language of the Amis, one of Taiwan's indigenous peoples, and reflects a way of life in harmony with nature, cherishing handmade daily necessities, and insisting on ornate yet practical weaving methods.
