When I looked at past photos of Nambu Tekki, I noticed that many craftsmen wore their vests on top. Many of the designs had relatively narrow shoulders, which may have been the silhouette of the time, but it looked good.
The width of the shoulders has been slightly reduced, but the width has been sized to balance the width of the shoulders so that it can be used as an outer layer. During the design process, I tried making the front section longer than the back section, which I think resulted in a better balance.

Also, at the time, work clothes in German steel factories were tight. The waist pocket on the work uniform shown in the photo from that time was probably a replacement pocket, and was the source of the idea for this waist pocket. The pocket is designed to look like it continues from the back, and also serves as a vent. No stitching was intentionally applied to the front edge, neckline, or armhole edges to emphasize the soft feel. Stitching is also part of the design, so there are some places where it is not stitched from edge to edge. The curve at the bottom of the armhole is for fun.
