"Il Micho" means "kitten" in Italian.
Fukaya, who loves cats deeply, chose this name with the desire to pursue his own shoemaking with a free spirit without flattering anyone like that noble creature.

The brand's iconic shoes, carefully crafted for each customer, are truly one-of-a-kind. It has a fit that sticks to your feet, supple and beautiful lines, an elegant and sexy design, and an alluring atmosphere.

Fukaya, who has loved making things since he was a child, became interested in shoemaking when he was in design school and trained under a shoemaker in Nagoya. After graduating, he worked as a fashion designer, but he decided to become a bespoke shoemaker because he wanted to create something that only he could do. After training under a shoemaker in Siena, he developed his skills with an outstanding sense and a strong inquisitive mind.


In 1999, he launched "Il Micho" and started making his own shoes. Eventually, his talent was recognized by Mr. Franco Minucci, the owner of the long-established Florentine shop "Thai Your Tie", and with his help, he became the first Japanese to open a bespoke shop overseas. In addition, he has worked as a shoe designer for the same shop and other famous select shops, and has received high praise for his design sense and talent.
From his training days to the present, he has always occupied his mind with the idea of ​​"making the most beautiful shoes in the world." "The most beautiful shoes in the world" are shoes that bring great joy to those who wear them.
