"Il Micho" is a brand that focuses on completely custom-made shoes and leather accessories.
"Il Miccio" means "the kitten" in Italian.
Fukaya, who loves cats, chose this name with the desire to pursue his own shoemaking with a free spirit, without pandering to anyone, just like these noble creatures.

The brand's iconic shoes are carefully made for each customer, making them truly one-of-a-kind pieces with a perfect fit, supple and beautiful lines, an elegant and sexy design, and a seductive atmosphere.

Having loved making things since he was a child, Fukaya developed an interest in shoemaking while attending design school and trained under a shoemaker in Nagoya. After graduating, he worked as a fashion designer, but decided to become a bespoke shoemaker, thinking, "I want to make things that no one else can do, that only I can do," and traveled to Italy alone. He trained under a shoemaker in Siena and improved his skills with his outstanding sense and strong inquisitiveness.
In 1999, he established "Il Miccio" and started making his own shoes. Eventually, his talent was recognized by Franco Minucci, the owner of the long-established Florentine shop "Tie Your Tie", and with his help, he became the first Japanese person to open a bespoke shop overseas. He also worked as a shoe designer for the shop and designed shoes for other famous select shops.
His design sense and talent are highly regarded.
From his training days to the present, what has always been on his mind is "making the most beautiful shoes in the world." "The most beautiful shoes in the world" are shoes that have design, balance, and the solid technology to support them, and above all, shoes that bring great joy to the person who wears them.
That solid technique is also reflected in the accessories, where Fukaya's attention to detail can be seen everywhere, from the treatment of the edges to the design. The materials used are not only goat and cow leather, which can be enjoyed as they age, but also PVC, which is one of the characteristics of the brand. Fukaya's playfulness can be seen in the marble pattern with a kitten, which is the brand motif.
