In 1948, gicipi was born in Padua, a city in northern Italy.
There are many fashion-related companies around here, and many famous global brands are produced.
At gicipi, the integrated factory has become a valuable presence.
The vintage machines are still in use today, and the entire process from paper patterning, cutting, sewing, and finishing is handled in-house.
We also do everything from procurement of materials to knitting (production of knitted fabric), which is rare in Italy today. “Our greatest strength lies in our ability to create an infinite number of products, from one type of thread, to multiple knitted fabrics, multiple designs, and even multiple processes,” says Francesco, the company’s representative. Since our founding, we have been particular about “natural materials” and “quality first.”
They are not what is commonly called "cheerful and friendly" Italians.
Rather, his single-minded attitude of being “taciturn and honest” and not saying much has something in common with the Japanese sense of beauty.
