DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN "MOUNTAINEER / MIZUSAWA DOWN OVERSIZED JACKET / GRAZ MENS"

Regular price ¥132,000

Mizusawa down jacket high-spec model "Mountaineer" oversized model.
The silhouette has been revised from the 2023 model, and a waist pocket has been added for a more balanced and practical fit. Non-quilted thermal bonding and seam tape processing prevent moisture impregnation and achieve high water resistance. Considering wearing in bad weather such as rain and snow, the hood is equipped with a para-hood system that prevents water and snow accumulation.
The dual zip ventilation adopted in the front zipper part allows outside air to enter the garment with two rows of zippers and the mesh fabric placed between them, allowing the unpleasant heat and moisture that tends to build up inside the jacket to escape. In addition, the lining uses HEAT NAVI(R), a heat-retaining material, to keep the inside of the garment at a comfortable temperature.
Furthermore, by using traceable down that has acquired "DOWNPASS" certification and strictly managing it with serial numbers, it is possible to trace the procurement process of all feathers.
ISPO 2018 performance segment mountain performance category award winning model.

■ HEAT NAVI
+5℃(*1) from light to heat
The biggest feature of the positive heat retention material HEAT NAVI is that it creates heat from light.
Carbon-based inorganic materials absorb almost all wavelengths of light and efficiently convert it into heat. Provides comfortable warmth.
In addition, it efficiently converts light into heat, so you can enjoy outdoor sports lightly and warmly in any weather.
*1 This is the temperature difference between our conventional polyester material and HEAT NAVI material under the following conditions, and does not represent the wearing condition.
Increased temperature difference after 10 minutes under constant conditions [Test conditions environment: 20°C, temperature 65% RH. Specimen 30 cm from the lower end of the reflector lamp, 500 W reflector lamp for photography]

■ Parafood system
A top open zipper is used for the hood, allowing quick opening of the hood when it is necessary to wear it. The hood can be closed when not in use.

■ Dual zip ventilation
The two rows of front zippers and the mesh material placed between them allow air to enter from the outside of the jacket and allow unpleasant heat and moisture to escape.

■ "DOWNPASS" authentication
A standard that guarantees that feathers are ethically bred and harvested based on animal protection institutionalized by Germany's DOWNPASS eV and that high quality standards are maintained.

■ ISPO 2018 Performance Segment Mountain Performance Category Awards
The world's largest sports exhibition held annually in Munich, Germany. This award is given to outstanding products based on strict screening in terms of product concept, design, technology, and consideration for the environment.

《ABOUT MIZUSAWA DOWN》
Design and structure of Mizusawa down jacket
"High-tech down jacket born from the hands of craftsmen"
Mizusawa Down started with the desire to create a unique down jacket that overturns existing concepts.
Until now, down wear has been focused on two functionalities: "lightness" and "the quality of the down itself (fill power, etc.)".
The development of Mizusawa Down started in 2007 with a completely different approach, re-examining the weaknesses of down jackets for those who wear them.
Down jackets are vulnerable to rain and snow, and water can enter through the stitching perforations.
There are drawbacks, such as insufficient heat retention because the feathers get wet, and the down can easily fall out through the gaps in the stitching.
In order to eliminate them, we adopted a special thermocompression bonding technique instead of sewing to form the down pack, eliminating stitches. By applying seam tape processing to the back of the sleeves where sewing is required, we have succeeded in dramatically improving comfort on rainy and snowy days.
Equipped with "water resistance" and "water resistance", we have created new value in down jackets.
At first glance, this down jacket looks like a high-tech jacket, but it is shaped one by one by experienced craftsmen at every step, from cutting, down pack formation, thermo-compression bonding to down filling.
Both the design that stands out and the technology that overturns common sense are all supported by each person's hands and passion.
