-Product description- (From Yamauchi HP)
I've been wearing Schonherr linen items that I've been making since the previous season all year round, and I thought that this fabric would make the look more shiny when washed, so for the first time since I started Yamauchi, I thought of a proposal as an item with a little washing process in it.
The wrinkled expression, which seems to be unmistakable only because of this textile, is not just a process to add flavor, but I am convinced that it was necessary to make a better product. The unique movement of the cavalry twill and the wrinkled corners of linen are very elegant, and Yamauchi's careful sewing is the base, so even with the washing process, the clean impression is not lost at all.
This jacket has an atmosphere that can be worn casually while maintaining an elegant impression like Yamauchi.

-Explanation of outer material-
Schonherr Linen / Cavalry Twill (Bishu production area)
From the previous season's use, I liked the textile so much that I thought it would be one of the indispensable materials for Yamauchi's spring and summer seasons.
Normally, Bishu's Schonherl is used for wool, but the linen thread is woven with cavalry twill fabric using that wool Schonherl, and the finished fabric gives a solid feel of the thickness of men's clothing, but on the other hand, it has a wavy feel. The unique moving texture sets it apart from common linen materials.
According to Mr. Weaver, who has the longest history in Bishu, it is necessary to inherit and maintain the tradition, but also to change little by little according to the times.
My brand concept also has a lot of overlapping parts, and I think it is necessary to change while thinking about it gradually, but that change is too fast these days.
As Yamauchi, who aims to create products that will last for a long time, I would like to think about the meaning of weaving linen in Bishu.
Also, I have worn items using this fabric myself, and I felt that the atmosphere would be enhanced if this fabric was washed a little.
I was convinced that Yamauchi's consistent theme of "no post-processing" would be better with this fabric, so I decided to wash it.
However, instead of the general post-processing of "product washing", the fabric is first washed and tumbled, and then sewn to a state where the fabric does not change, and then lightly washed again. It is processed with one effort and two effort.
