The idea for Retina® 70 Denier Ripstop was to create a lightweight fabric that could be used in the lightest packs and bags. We focused on keeping the weight as light as possible while ensuring sufficient durability for Klettalmusen fabric, and to achieve this we chose ripstop. Skyl coating (surface coating) is applied to the front of the fabric to make the surface water repellent. Coating allows the water-repellent properties to remain on the fabric for a longer period of time. In addition, because we prioritize lightness, the back is coated with PU2, making it water resistant to 300mm. The material is 70 denier Econyl® fabric.
