【ADISH】
Started in 2018 by a creator group based in Tel Aviv with a background in Israel and Palestine.
A social project that uses fashion as a platform to promote social commentary and awareness to deepen understanding of local culture.
Combining traditional Palestinian craft techniques with contemporary streetwear, we create creations that are conscious of today's social issues.
ADISH works closely with Palestinian textile artists to create Palestinian embroidery and hand-stitched pieces by women living in the refugee camps of Ramallah, Hebron, and Dohaisha.
It incorporates traditional Bedouin weaving techniques.
The collection is inspired by the flora and fauna of Israel and Palestine, a nod to the region's unique ecological beauty.
We create our products in order to communicate to the world the relationships of trust we have built with Palestinian women and their craftsmanship.
The brand name ADISH means indifference in Hebrew, and the brand name expresses anger towards the social situation in Israel and Palestine and a desire to change the current situation.
Highlighting pressing socio-political issues through fashion, ADISH continues to disrupt long-standing social and political conflicts with a contemporary interpretation that fuses Middle Eastern culture and handcraft. I am.
