Born in Gunma Prefecture to a Taiwanese mother and a Japanese father, he grew up with nature.
He has been strongly influenced by modernism and vintage due to the ethnic sensibilities he cultivated while spending much of his childhood in Taiwan, and by moving to Los Angeles as an adolescent.
