Mizusawa Down was started with the desire to create a unique down jacket that overturns conventional concepts.
Until now, down wear has been focused on ``lightness'' and ``the quality of the feather itself (fill power, etc.)''
Development was focused on two functionalities.
The development of Mizusawa Down began in 2007 with a completely different approach, reconsidering the weaknesses of down jackets for the wearer.
Down jackets are susceptible to rain and snow, water can enter through the perforations in the stitching and the feathers get wet, making it difficult to maintain sufficient heat retention, and down jackets tend to fall out through the gaps in the stitching. did.
In order to eliminate these problems, we use a special thermocompression bonding technology instead of sewing to form the down pack, eliminating stitches. By applying seam tape to the back of the sleeves and other areas that require sewing, we have succeeded in dramatically improving comfort on rainy and snowy days.
With its "waterproofness" and "water resistance," it has created new value for down jackets.
