canoma

We chose two words, “Cha-no-ma”, which represents everyday life, and “Tea ceremony”, which is a symbol of quality.
A coined word made by replacing the pronunciation of the common character "tea".
Yuta Watanabe, who has a Japanese sense, takes direction of the scent, and the technical part uses the knowledge and experience of French perfumer Jean-Michel Duriez, which Japanese people want to use. Four scents that seem to be born.
Aiming for new ideas that are not found in existing perfumes, we aim to create perfumes that are completed through delicate adjustments through skilled perfume mixing techniques.
We believe that new ideas perfected on solid technology are the conditions for a good perfume.

A veteran of 32 years as a perfumer.
Worked as a house perfumer for French historical perfume brands Jean Patou and Rochas. We also produce Dolce & Gabbana, Escada, Lacoste and Yohji Yamamoto perfumes.
He has also created many collaboration candles with Pierre Hermé and others.
In December 2016, he launched his own brand, Jean-Michel Duirez Paris.

《Director / Yuta Watanabe》
After graduating from the University of Tokyo Graduate School, worked for three and a half years at a foreign financial institution and an investment fund, then moved to France in 2015 to work in the perfume industry.
He holds an MBA from the Sorbonne University and works under the perfumer Jean-Michel Duriez.
