COOHEM is a coined word derived from "knitting" and started in 2010 AUTUMN & WINTER as a factory brand of Yonetomi Seni Co., Ltd., a long-established knitwear manufacturer in Yamagata Prefecture.
"Mixed knitting" refers to a technique that combines and knits multiple materials with different shapes to create a completely new material. "COOHEM" uses a unique textile called knit tweed that was born in this way to create a completely new traditional wear. is expressed. A fusion of programming that requires advanced analysis and creation that combines colors and materials.
In addition, veteran craftsmen with both skill and experience and young craftsmen with rich sensibilities and imagination work together to create new products. Spent her high school years in Yamagata, one of Japan's leading knit production areas. After graduating, studied marketing, design, and fabrics at a vocational school.
After that, after working as a staff member at a select shop, in 2007 he joined Yonetomi Seni Co., Ltd., a long-established family knit manufacturer that also handles OEM business with many famous domestic brands, and was involved in the planning and development of knit textiles. Focusing on the many vintage textiles that have been independently developed over a long history, we launched our own brand COOHEM in 2010 to pursue and express the infinite possibilities of the material knit tweed.
In 2016, won the TOKYO FASHION AWARD. Since 2015, he has been promoting the evolution of Japanese factory brands both domestically and internationally as a representative of Yonetomi Seni.
