The brand name comes from the name of a papaya-like plant native to the Andes region.

《DESIGNER / Yoko Shiraishi》
Born in Tokyo, graduated from Musashino Art University.
He was in charge of designing socks and textiles at ANTIPAST, and became independent in 2013.
Babaco was launched with the Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
