[MAD ET LEN]
MAD et LEN was born in an atelier in Saint-Julien-du-Verdon, a small village in the south of France where time passes slowly.
The brand name MAD et LEN is derived from the French baked confectionery "Madeleine." In the story "In Search of Lost Time" written by Marcel Proust, there is an episode in which eating a Madeleine (written as mad.len in the text) soaked in tea brings back memories of the past. This famous scene led to the name Proust effect, where the memory or emotion of a moment is recalled through taste or smell, and "memory" is the foundation of MAD et LEN's fragrances.

MAD and LEN "Our Scents"

"Arabian Nights at the Café Royal. Night travelers enjoy a cool mint on their nomadic journey from Saint-Germain to the walls of Alexandria."

The scent is based on mint and mugwort, and is enhanced with bitter orange, creating a refreshing and pleasant fragrance with fresh herbs and citrus. "Crispy Cold Mint"

"The coals dance like fireflies in the night, drifting through the mists of the damp earth. Darker than the shadows of the night: the silent spirits of Terre Noir."

Pristine wet earth, rich bark-like humus, ancient fossilized pine trees, and rare ancient oak trees.
The scent combines a quiet, powerful spiciness reminiscent of black, damp earth with a hint of sweetness.

"The first monsoon on the streets of Bombay, walking rainbows, laughing storms, singing raindrops. The great magenta kaleidoscope brings a taste of vermilion, the black champaca comes. Let yourself be kissed by the rain."

Notes of champaca drops, benjoin swirls and balsam resin.

"Sculpting the essence like a Cubist mask, crafting a curvaceous, dark leathery floral base, polishing and bevelling raw amber: a reminiscence of the sensual beauty of a primitive artifact."

Leathery and polished floral base, bevelled amber.

"It has the smell of stone flowers, I have the smell of black wood. It smells of ebony, it smells of darkness. It comes from the heart of Africa..."

Smoky dark aromas, leathery ferns, ebony notes, tar and old burnt bark.

"Parfum de Gris... A clash of scents and colors reveals an unexpected perfume with its wild scent: a chalk pencil worn by the carpenter's hands."

Monochrome graphite, chalk palettes and cut wood.

"We love its decadence, its austerity, its clarity, its radicality, its darkness. The absolute. The earthy sound. The basic organic essence. The raw scent of life... Beyond black, humus is our 'outre noir'."

An earthy, watery, cool mushroom, violet exudation of vetiver, Russian blue pine, oakmoss and a rotting bed of undergrowth.

"Crimson / Purple charcoal fire / Starry jets, blue / Alcohol flames, white / Starlight, red musk."

A star red like vermilion, charcoal and musk. A sensual and elegant musk with a deep, lingering scent.

"Manhattan Fantastica, a swaying night, an ecstatic swirl, the natural sway of pink rose and fresh blackcurrant."

Dark, deep cassis and a hint of rose.

"Happy summer time, little ice flowers floating in Sichuan tea. For wonderful days, we need a little "mouth watering aroma""

Crystallized white bergamot, Sichuan tea.

"Under a dome, illuminated with vegetable gold leaf, a Byzantine fresco, the Empress walks to her Imperial throne, beneath perfumes, psalms and hymns, facing a tame bear."

Deep brown vetiver, greenish highlights of tobacco, black honey.
