Yamauchi "KURO-ZOME HEAVY HEMP CLOTH PANTS for LOCALERS"

Regular price ¥62,700

I really liked the fabric in Yamauchi's 25SS collection, which was made from hemp from Enshu and dyed a deep black with Nagoya black crest dyeing.
As full-length pants made from this fabric were not available previously, we had them made specially for LOCALERS.
This is a fabric that ages well the more you wear it.
Thanks to Mr. Yamauchi, we were able to make some very good pants.
Please try them on.
( If you already own the 25131 / Black Dyed Heavy Hemp Cloth Jacket, you can wear this as a set since it is made of the same material.)

-Product description- (From Yamauchi's website)
*The product has been processed.
The appeal of product dyeing is the creasing and misalignment that occurs due to differences in the shrinkage rate of the fabric.
It's strange how the worn-out look that was so common around 20 years ago, when product processing was at its peak, seems fresh again when we look at it now.
They say that ten years is a long time, but fashion moves at an even faster pace.
One of the reasons I have stayed with men's clothing is that I am not the type of person who can keep up with the fast pace of it all.
Although the pace of change in men's fashion seems to be slower than that of women's fashion, the fact remains that it is constantly changing, and it takes some getting used to.
Now that more than 16 years have passed since the brand was launched, I feel like I am rediscovering the appeal of product processing.
The processing of heavy hemp creates rough wrinkles and reduces the stiffness of each seam, giving it a very relaxed appearance.
The look is relaxed and just the right amount, making you feel at ease when wearing it, and I feel it is an essential item for everyday use.

- Outer material description - Heavy hemp cloth (Enshu region)
A heavy cloth using 18-ply hemp threads for both the warp and weft.
It is a tough material that is thick and heavy, but it is also soft and flexible, giving it the robustness necessary for men's summer clothing, which will be washed frequently.
It is also a textile that allows you to fully enjoy the wrinkles that are unique to hemp.

- Processing explanation - Black dyeing (Aichi Prefecture)
Nagoya Kuromontsukizome is a traditional dyeing technique that has been designated as a traditional craft of Japan and has been preserved and passed down for many years.
This deep and rich black is different from ordinary black, and is the highest quality black used in Japanese clothing.
To express the deep black color, the fabric is first dyed red by a dyer who has inherited techniques that have been handed down for generations.
After that, the garment is soaked in a black dye solution with a concentration of 200-400% overnight to fix the color.
By taking a day to fix the color, the final product is a more durable, fade-resistant, and top-quality black.
