TENDER Co. "TYPE 975 DRAFT LINE COAT / Red Wool Carpet Twill"

Regular price ¥165,000

The DRAFT LINE COAT features a relaxed silhouette with reverse raglan sleeves and a high neck. The collar is sewn into the regular neckline at the front, but at the back, the draft line, which indicates the high shoulder position, is extended upwards and downwards, and the back is constructed from a single panel from the hem to the top of the collar, eliminating the seam at the back of the neck.

*A draft line refers to a preliminary or penciled reference line used in pattern making. Pattern makers first draw these reference lines, such as the center front, center back, waistline, and shoulder apex, and then, between these fixed lines, they draw the shape of the pattern, considering the volume and functionality of the garment and the wearer's body shape.

・About TENDER Co. MADE IN USA・
In 2024, TENDER Co. relocated its base and production from Gloucestershire, UK, to Pennsylvania, USA. To avoid long-distance operations, new seasonal garments are sewn near the new base. While design and pattern cutting continue to be done in-house, each country of production has its unique characteristics and individuality. We believe that conducting design and manufacturing in the same location simultaneously leads to more consistent and refined products.
One reason for the distinctive texture of TENDER Co. garments is the choice of sewing machines used. Products sewn in the UK were primarily tailored using flat-felled seams with a feed-of-the-arm single-pass method. Since these machines are not available at the new American factory, single-needle sewing machines are used, resulting in slightly flatter and more refined seams. On the other hand, because seams are finished in two sewing stages with visual guidance, the stitch lines are not perfectly uniform, and this slight unevenness adds a hand-crafted quality. Garments made in the USA come with a blue size tag.
