A lifestyle and homeware brand founded by "Christin Lafian" based in Melbourne, Australia.
Christine Lafian, the designer, grew up in Indonesia,
surrounded by countless colors and patterns, and was inspired by tribal cultural artworks,
which led her to establish the brand with the desire to bring them into contemporary homes.
She believes that the home is an extension of oneself, and with that in mind,
various pieces are selected and designed with love and integrity.
Christine draws inspiration from small coastal villages in Indonesia, traveling throughout her home country to collect works from local artisans, and uncovering her unique aesthetics and style.
The combination of traditional pattern work and bold, colorful designs
enhances SUKU's rare and beautiful natural qualities.
SUKU is rooted in authenticity and sustainability,
connecting a global community through ethical fair trade practices and shared experiences.

weaving their lives into their own.

The materials used are carefully selected to prioritize comfort and consider their impact on

The production process is given the utmost importance, with material selection that allows for
small-scale production by local artisans who operate sustainably and on a fair trade basis.
Using natural fabrics such as bamboo and organic cotton,
the dip dyeing and hand painting performed by skilled Balinese artisans,
employing traditional Indonesian batik techniques,
are very delicate processes that take about three weeks to complete.
Embroidery and knitwear are also produced by hand in small-scale environments,
conveying the blessings of tradition and skilled craftsmanship.
Natural dyeing and handicrafts are delicate and labor-intensive processes,
