Born in Gunma Prefecture to a Taiwanese mother and a Japanese father, she grew up surrounded by nature. Her ethnic sensibility was cultivated during her childhood in Taiwan, and her move to Los Angeles in adolescence strongly influenced her modernism and vintage aesthetic. She established R.ALAGAN in 2016 and creates jewelry with uncompromising quality in collaboration with Japanese jewelry artisans.
