Instead, methods such as beneficial insects and mechanical weeding reduce the burden on the environment. Cultivation is done with respect for the environment, workers are protected from harmful chemicals while working, and surrounding areas avoid contamination of drinking water. Klättermusen has two different third-party certifications for its organic cotton. One is GOTS certification, the highest certification in the world for organic cotton, and the other is the EU Council Directive on Organic Farming.
