-Product description- (From Yamauchi's website)
*The product has been processed.
This shirt item has a pattern design with just the right sizing, making it suitable for any occasion.
Following the recent trend towards oversized clothing, I feel like sizing is slowly returning to normal.
When you wear clothing that fits your shoulders properly, you will naturally feel more correct and your thoughts will become more positive, and you will notice a change.
We took time to design the details of the pattern, such as the shape of the collar base and the collar wing, to create a shirt that looks good when the buttons of the collar base are undone.
By applying a single stitch from the front edge to the collar base, a sense of unity between the body and collar base is created, creating a beautiful neckline.
This season, we are using that pattern to propose finished shirts.
The sharp wrinkles that are unique to product processing are cool, and I think the feeling of the garment immediately fitting to your body when you put it on is also something that is unique to product processing.

- Outer material description - Hemp twill (Enshu region)
Hemp twill made using 21-count single hemp threads for both the warp and weft.
This textile allows you to enjoy the wrinkles that are unique to hemp to the fullest, and goes well with post-processed products.
The material is tough and durable, and post-processing gives it a more masculine look.

Mud dyeing (Amami Oshima)
This dyeing method uses dye made from techi trees that grow naturally on Amami Oshima, which are cut into chips, boiled for two days, and fermented.
The brownish-brown fabric is dyed by repeatedly immersing it in the dye, and then dyed again and again in the mud of Amami.
The tannins in the tea tree dye react with the iron in the mud to turn a dark brown and then a deep brown, which then adheres to the fabric. This method causes the fabric to have a slightly stiff finish at first, but the stiffness will settle down as you wear it, and you can enjoy the color change over time.
It also has deodorizing and insect repellent properties that are particularly effective during the humid Japanese summer.
Yamauchi's 25ss ranges from the light and dark shades of mud dyeing to the completely different colours of techi wood dyeing.
