After graduating from the College of Fashion in London, she gained 12 years of experience in marketing and international market development in the Paris fashion industry, working for Golden Goose Deluxe brand, Sonia Rykiel, Hermes, and Isabel Marant.
He launched his own brand in 2014 in his native Argentina.
The brand name Mydie is the nickname of the designer Maria.
The name was apparently named after a book that a friend of Maria's mother was reading when she was born.
The brand uses only natural fibers and organic yarns, with merino wool from Patagonia, Argentina, which boasts a softness and feel comparable to cashmere and alpaca, as its main material. It also uses natural dyes made from local plants, producing high-quality knitwear using uncompromising processes that are environmentally friendly.
All knitwear is woven by Argentine artisans using traditional hand-weaving methods, and is committed to sustainable production, including protecting the environment and animals, fairly compensating artisans, and reviving and preserving the country's traditions and roots.
