This orange dye is dyed with a rich orange dye obtained by crushing the seeds of the annatto tree, which is native to tropical Mexico, Central America, and South America.
Traditionally used as a body paint, sunscreen and insect repellent, it was also used in manuscript painting in Mexico until the 16th century.
Annatto has a mild earthy flavor and is often used in Latin American and South Asian cuisine. It is also used as a dye to give the characteristic color of red Leicester cheese.

TENDER Co. has its roots in British steam locomotive workwear. A tender is a track filled with lime and water on a steam locomotive, and refers to a vehicle that connects the locomotive and the vehicle. The tender was an impossibly strong vehicle made of well-forged steel. The clothes of TENDER Co. are durable like the TENDER, and are items that can be used hard. Designer William Kroll originally worked as a designer at EUROEVISU, the European division of Evisu Jeans, and also learned tailoring techniques at Savile Row in England, known for its suits. In order to master denim, I also studied denim production in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. And now I'm working as a denim lecturer at St. Martin's School of Art in England.
