Yamauchi "SILK GABARDINE DOUBLE STITCH SHIRT for LOCALERS / SUMI KURO"
I wanted this silk gabardine long-sleeved shirt with a pocket, so I had it specially made as a LOCALERS Exclusive.
Although it is a silk shirt, it is one that you can wear roughly, in a good way, and wash without hesitation to let it grow in quality.
However, as is typical of Yamauchi's clothes, the fabric and sewing techniques are excellent and durable.
Thank you as always, Yamauchi-san.

-Product Description- (From Yamauchi's website)
Compared to Yamauchi's other shirts, the collar base is slightly larger and the body is also slightly larger, giving it a casual impression. However, unlike other shirts, the design point is the #30 stitch, and my favorite welt + 4mm double stitching is used throughout. While using the casual design and materials that are Yamauchi's hallmarks, it is carefully tailored in the Yamauchi style, making it a unique item, even if it is not obvious.
-Surface description-
Vintage silk gabardine (Hokuriku region)
A 2/2 twill weave (gabardine) made with untwisted raw silk warp threads and spun silk weft threads.
The finest silk fabric is given a suede treatment, which uses a special device to forcibly create abrasion on the surface, and then a bio-processing is used to remove the tension from the fabric, giving it a soft, vintage look.Silk has an image of requiring careful maintenance, but by using these two types of processing, it can be used without any worries and can be hand-washed at home.
=Silk=
Silk is also known as the "Queen of Fibers," and is a material that exudes elegance, calmness, and a unique aura. When you hear the word "silk," many people probably imagine it as something high-quality.
Silk = good stuff.
Good things have a reason, a history, are precious, require a lot of effort, and are rare. Experience the feel, texture, and appearance of silk with all five senses. Silk is the oldest and most traditional fabric in Japan. It is a very comfortable and unconditionally good material.
