These pants aim for a balance characteristic of Yamauchi's menswear, blending elements of military and workwear. Ultra-High Density Shield Cotton Heavy Cloth (Enshu region)
This ultra-high density material has long been supplied to the Self-Defense Forces as a water-resistant fabric.
With an extreme number of threads per inch, the fibers expand when submerged in water, creating a waterproof fabric that resists water penetration.
Weighing approximately 250g, it is very useful for spring/summer outerwear. Its moderate crispness, self-standing wrinkles, and synthetic-like feel—unusual for cotton—make it an excellent material for tailoring.

Ancient Dye (Okayama Prefecture)
A dyeing method using dyes that were mainstream before World War II. It's neither as intense as pigment dyeing nor as uniformly dyed as reactive dyeing; it's somewhere in between. Utilizing the characteristics of rough dye particles, it is intentionally dyed using a technique that creates bold unevenness, resulting in a distinctively rugged and irregular finish. Currently, there is only one company in Okayama that still manufactures this dye.
