THE INOUE BROTHERS... "Pistachio Hana-bi" T-SHIRT / WHITE
Julien Colombier "Pistachio Hana-Bi": I wanted the painting to be fresh and very dynamic.
The flowers in the foreground have a light, airy look, as if they are swaying in the wind.
And the small "sticks" in the background have a movement that can appear to move up or down depending on the viewer.
By adding this pistachio color, the painting appears to express "happy emotions."
Julien Colombier, born in 1972, is an artist based in Paris, France.
He is known for his unique worldview paintings, which use pastel, chalk and acrylic on black backgrounds.
His detailed paintings, created by combining repeated geometric motifs and plants, are both representational and graphic-like abstract.
For this series, Julien selected two of his favourite artworks, which were shown at the "Hopefunk" exhibition in Japan in 2023. They feature textured lattice designs and floating patterns, painted in his signature colourful style.
[TOHOKU PROJECT]
The project is a partnership between small businesses and artisans in the Tohoku region, which experienced the tsunami caused by the largest earthquake on record in March 2011. The project was a collaboration with like-minded friends.

《THE INOUE BROTHERS...》
The Inoue Brothers was founded in 2004 by two Japanese brothers, Satoru and Kiyoshi Inoue, born in Copenhagen, Denmark.
A design and art studio born out of a love for two cultures - Japanese delicacy and Nordic simplicity - they call it "Scandinasian" design. The Inoue Brothers brand has been developed with uncompromising ideals, but with a radically open perspective.
As a result, we have been able to forge strong ties with diverse indigenous heritage, culture and artisanal communities.
With each project, their main goal is to raise awareness of responsible production methods through quality and design.
