TENDER Co. "TYPE 457 FROCK SHIRT / HADAL BLUE"

Regular price ₩609,000

The FROCK SHIRT combines the design of a three-pocket work shirt with a tailored frock coat. The fabric is cut cross-grain, with no side seams. The shoulder line slopes from the center of the neck towards the back, continuing to the back of the armhole, and then connects to the sleeve seam that runs along the back of the sleeve to the cuff. This cutting method is reminiscent of 18th-19th century dress coats, with the sloped shoulder line providing a cleaner appearance at the front, and a slight bias allowing the fabric to conform smoothly over the interlining. The shirt features a deeply rounded tail and is entirely sewn with cotton thread. It is finished with metal buttons wrapped in dyed cotton and a "Made in USA" blue label.

・HADAL BLUE・
The Hadal Zone (named after Hades, the underworld in Greek mythology) refers to the deepest layers of the ocean, even deeper than the Sunlight Zone, Twilight Zone, Midnight Zone, and Abyssal Zone.Hadal Blue and Hadal Green are the deepest shades achievable with reactive dyes, darker than any natural dye.
However, similar to natural dyeing, because the entire garment is dyed after sewing, subtle variations in color depth and shade may occur due to differences in materials and construction.

・About TENDER Co. MADE IN USA・
In 2024, TENDER Co. relocated its base and production from Gloucestershire, UK, to Pennsylvania, USA. To avoid long-distance operations, new seasonal garments are now sewn near the new location. Design and pattern cutting continue to be done in-house, but each country of production has its own unique characteristics. We believe that designing and manufacturing in the same location leads to more consistent and refined products.
One reason for the distinctive texture of TENDER Co. garments is the selection of sewing machines used. Products sewn in the UK were primarily finished with feed-of-the-arm single-pass flat-felled seams. As these machines are not available at the new US factory, garments are sewn using single-needle machines, resulting in a slightly flatter and more refined seam. However, since the seams are finished in two sewing stages with visual inspection, the stitch lines are not perfectly uniform, and this slight unevenness adds a touch of handcrafted charm. Garments made in the USA feature a blue size-labeled woven label.
