Born in Gunma Prefecture to a Taiwanese mother and a Japanese father, she grew up surrounded by nature. The ethnic sensibilities she cultivated during her childhood spent largely in Taiwan, and her move to Los Angeles during adolescence, strongly influenced her with modernism and vintage aesthetics.
In 2016, she established R.ALAGAN. She creates uncompromising jewelry with Japanese jewelry artisans.
