The company is committed to products made in Kagoshima, and one of the things it focused on was the volcanic ash provided by its symbol, Sakurajima.

One Kiln, whose name means "one kiln," is a ceramics studio based in Kagoshima.
The glaze for this ASH series is made by adding volcanic ash from Sakurajima, a symbol of Kagoshima.
This series was completed after many years of trial and error, determining the amount of ash to use, the baking temperature, etc.
The individual colors vary depending on the position in the kiln and the chemical reactions of the glaze.
