A contemporary and sustainable knitwear brand founded by Maria A.Zolezzi based in Buenos Aires.
After graduating from a fashion college in London, she spent 12 years working in the Paris fashion industry for the Golden Goose Deluxe brand, Sonia Rykiel, Hermès, Isabelle Marant, etc., and experienced marketing and international market development.
In 2014, he launched his own brand in his home country of Argentina.
The brand name Maidy is the nickname of the designer Maria.
The name comes from a book that a friend of her mother was reading when Maria was born.
The main material is merino wool from Patagonia, Argentina, which boasts a softness and feel comparable to that of cashmere and alpaca. We produce high-quality knitwear with a process that does not compromise.
All knits are woven by Argentine craftsmen using traditional hand weaving methods, and are responsible for sustainable production such as protecting the environment and animals, fair compensation for craftsmen, regenerating and inheriting their own traditions and roots.
