"JIM" was born with the vision of "more clearly demonstrating our commitment to connecting the heritage of vintage to the present day."
In order to revive the silhouette and texture of the past, the brand team has been searching for deadstock vintage acetate for many years, and has realized a modern style based on that rare material. This new work that connects the past and the present is the perfect eyewear for those who seek timeless beauty.

This model uses a 1940s frame made in France, carefully selected from Guépard's vast vintage archive. This frame is characterized by its big silhouette and unique frame fabric, which were rare even at the time, and "Jim" has been reconstructed with a modern approach while paying homage to the original design. This model, made of precious vintage acetate, has a special presence where the past and the present intersect. It is a special item that combines a classical style with a size that is easy to wear, and revives the vintage texture with a modern approach. All eight colors in the lineup are made from rare vintage acetate, and only a few to a few dozen are produced. It is truly a premium gem full of special feeling. In addition, each frame is engraved with an edition number, which further enhances the individual value and includes a certificate that guarantees the edition. It is a specification that makes you feel special every time you hold it in your hands. "Jim" will be released simultaneously at business partners nationwide, and is the perfect eyewear for those who love timeless designs. Please experience the world of Guépard through "Jim" and enjoy the moment when the charm of vintage is revived in the present day.

In the United States during the Prohibition era in the 1920s, the slang for glasses was "cheater" (derived from the act of sneaking a peek). This has been changed to " guépard ".
The logo design depicts a cheetah peering intently with one eye.
The owners of both stores, Yamamura and Yanagihara, have been dealing in French vintage clothing since its early days and have helped create its current popularity, so the name is also a bit ironic as they say that modern designers who create "vintage-style" designs "only cheat (sneak a peek at) the surface of vintage (original) clothing."

Design Concept
Standard jazz was essential to getting people excited during the Prohibition era.
Just as the music itself was later passed down as material for improvisational performances, this collection offers a new interpretation of French vintage music, inheriting the high design quality of French vintage music while arranging it to suit a delicate and modern atmosphere.
