"SHOKO OTAKE LUNES A SABADO COLLECTION "
Artist Shoko Otake and designer Eriko Tsukasaki, who have been friends for a long time, both love to travel.
This collaboration was born out of a conversation between Otake and the artist, who felt there was a commonality between her inspiration for this project and her style of powerful prints and everyday motifs, and also because Mexico is one of the countries Otake has long wanted to visit.

"VIVA DE VIDA" The collection is inspired by the strong light of the sun, the deep shadows, and the vibrant, life-filled everyday life of the Mexican people that I experienced in Mexico.

The prints were inspired by Tsukasaki's stories and photographs from his travels in Mexico, as well as books on old Mexican pottery that he came across during his travels.
Tsukasaki has used this motif to design T-shirts.

The collection title, “LUNES a SABADO”, means Monday to Saturday in Spanish.
The piece was inspired by a hand-drawn signboard that Tsukasaki photographed in the Mexican port town of Lapaz, and was selected from one of the prints that Otake carved, which he felt had a wonderful feel that continues in everyday life.

The collaboration T-shirts will only be sold at limited stores.
