It was started in 2018 by a group of creators based in Tel Aviv with an Israeli and Palestinian background.
A social project that uses fashion as a platform to promote social commentary and awareness to deepen understanding of local cultures.
The brand combines traditional Palestinian craft techniques with modern streetwear to create products that are conscious of today's social issues.
ADISH works closely with Palestinian textile artists, incorporating Palestinian embroidery and traditional Bedouin weaving techniques, hand-sewn by women living in the refugee camps of Ramallah, Hebron and Duhaisha .
The collection's motif is the flora and fauna of Israel and Palestine, inspired by the beauty of the region's unique ecosystem.
We create our products with the aim of spreading the trust we have built with Palestinian women and their artisanal techniques to the world.
The brand name ADISH means indifference in Hebrew, and it expresses our anger toward the social situation in Israel and Palestine and our desire to change the current situation.
Using fashion to highlight pressing socio-political issues, ADISH continues to bring about change to long-standing social and political conflicts by combining Middle Eastern culture with a contemporary interpretation of handcraft.
