-Product description- (From Yamauchi HP)
Using the fabric that has been used for Yamauchi's standard shirts, we have created a jacket that is light and easy to wear.
It has a loose pattern, cuffs attached to the cuffs like a shirt, and a large collar that gives it a casual impression.
Even if you don't like tailored collars, this item is just an extension of the shirt, so you can wear it over a T-shirt.
This jacket can be styled casually with shorts and sandals, and can be worn in a very wide range of ways.

-Explanation of outer material-
Salted cotton linen (Omi production area)
If you put your hand on the back side of the fabric, you can see your hand through the thin cotton linen from Omi.
The random wrinkles that appear on the fabric when it shrinks and the dry surface are somewhat like Japanese paper.
Not all fabrics have the same look after salt shrinkage, and the finish depends on various conditions such as threads, textures, dyeing methods, and so on. I ended up with this fabric that is neither too strong nor too strong, nor too weak, and has the same texture stably.
Yamauchi starts designing with textiles, but it is not good for textiles to be too pushy and assertive.
At first glance, it feels like a slight change, but I dare to create products that cherish a sense of balance that is moderately elegant.
This fabric is one of the indispensable textiles for Yamauchi that always corrects such a feeling.

- Dyeing instructions
Kishu bincho charcoal dyeing (Okayama Prefecture)
A dyeing method that uses ultra-fine charcoal powder to dye.
The finished dyeing is a light blue-gray color, and since it adheres to the surface of the fiber like pigment dyeing, it is characterized by casual unevenness.
Contrary to persimmon tannin dyeing, the color gradually fades over time, and charcoal has the inherent effects of deodorizing, antibacterial, and insect repellent, so it is especially effective in the humid summer of Japan.

Processing explanation
Salt-condensed processing (Yamanashi Prefecture)
A processing method that uses caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) to give the fabric a unique wrinkled feel and unevenness.
Because it is a very time-consuming process, it is not suitable for mass processing, and it is all done by hand.
Also, the chemicals used are dangerous, so there are very few factories that can process them in high concentrations.
