《SUKU HOME》
A lifestyle homeware brand founded by "Christin Lafian" based in Melbourne, Australia.
Designer Christine Lafian, who grew up in Indonesia, was inspired by her environment surrounded by a myriad of colors and patterns and her desire to incorporate tribal cultural artwork into modern homes.
Christine believes that the home is an extension of oneself, and her work is designed with love and integrity in mind.
Inspired by the small villages along the coast of Indonesia, we traveled around our homeland collecting the works of local artisans and discovering true patterns, unique aesthetics and styles.
The combination of traditional pattern work and bold, colorful designs highlight SUKU's rare and beautiful nature.
SUKU is rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and unites a global community around ethical fair trade practices and shared experiences.
Each product is expertly handcrafted by proud people with authentic and authentic stories, making SUKU more than just a decorative item, it is their life of confidence that is woven into SUKU.
SUKU's idea of sustainable clothing focuses on the background of the product itself, the production process, and its actual functionality.
The products reflect Indonesia's natural beauty and richness, as well as its traditional textiles.
SUKU focuses on social and environmental sustainability and maintains partnerships with artisans and their communities across Indonesia.
All designs and brand ethos are based on this philosophy.
We strive to transparently and consciously provide products that our customers can use comfortably.
The materials used have been carefully selected for comfort and consideration of their impact on the environment and the international community.
The main focus is on the production process, with a selection of materials that can be produced on a small scale by local artisans who operate on a sustainable and fair trade basis.
The traditional Indonesian batik techniques, dip dye and hand painting, are carried out by skilled Balinese craftsmen using natural fabrics such as bamboo and organic cotton, and are a very delicate process until they are completed. It will take about 3 weeks.
Items such as embroidery and knits are also produced by hand in a small-scale environment that conveys the blessings of tradition and expert skill.
Natural dyeing and handicrafts are delicate and time-consuming processes, but each piece is beautiful and unique.
We deliver the one and only SUKU HOME products made with love and will.
