Born in Gunma Prefecture to a Taiwanese mother and a Japanese father, she grew up surrounded by nature. Her ethnic sensibility, cultivated during her childhood spent largely in Taiwan, and her move to Los Angeles during adolescence, strongly influenced her sense of modernism and vintage aesthetics. She founded R.ALAGAN in 2016, creating uncompromising jewelry with Japanese craftsmen.
