Born in Gunma Prefecture to a Taiwanese mother and a Japanese father, she grew up surrounded by nature. The ethnic sensibilities she cultivated during her childhood spent largely in Taiwan, and the strong influence of modernism and vintage styles from her teenage years in Los Angeles, shaped her perspective. In 2016, she established R.ALAGAN, creating uncompromising jewelry with Japanese jewelry artisans.
