Made from high-density woven cotton poplin, this shirt offers a smooth and elegant surface unique to shirt fabric. The subtle black and navy stripe pattern is inspired by vintage shepherd's shirts, lending a classic feel with a sense of depth.

The design is an elegant mandarin collar, inspired by the shirts favored by pianist Mikhail Pletnev. Two flap pockets, reminiscent of classic Mao jackets, are placed on the chest, balancing functionality with design. The back features double pleats to ensure a full range of motion, preventing restriction during performance. The slightly longer and roomier sleeve design allows for various styling options, such as pushing them up or rolling them back.

Through continuous research into traditional garment manufacturing techniques in tailoring and workwear, we extract the "human element" inherent in these methods, pursuing clothes-making that can be called "re-creation" rather than mere "reproduction." All MotivMfg products are made by a small production team at our own facility in Beijing. By combining skilled craftsmen with unique equipment, we create garments that blend the three-dimensional silhouette of tailored clothing that conforms to the human body with industrial sewing details. This is difficult to achieve with large-scale industrial production.
