As a special project for the 10th anniversary, LAVENHAM We requested a special order and had a special vest made for us.
The bag uses velvet fabric, which has not previously been available from LAVENHAM, and the outer material is made of velvet from British company M. Chapman & Sons.
The lining is made of a luxurious functional material called Mc QUEEN from Olmetex, an Italian company that is usually used for the outer material.
By using Olmetex McQUEEN for the lining, we have increased the warmth even with less padding, giving the jacket a clean look.

Based on the classic "Cocoon Thornham", The usual 1.5cm corduroy binding is made as thin as possible to express a feminine look, and the armholes are lower than the regular Cocoon Thornham to make it easier to wear over knits and other items.

The quilt pattern was inspired by the Japanese name for velvet, "ten-ga-yu," and was created specifically for this occasion by incorporating the composition of velvet into the quilt pattern.

"Tenga" means swan.
Velvet, which is derived from white velvet that has a luster like a swan's wing, is connected to SWAN STORY as part of the "SWAN COLLECTION," which is inspired by the swans of Nakatsugawa that can be seen from our store in winter, and is the theme for WOMENS' 10th anniversary.

There is a river called Nakatsugawa flowing in front of our shop.
During the snowy winter season, migratory swans come here to rest.
She has a beautiful and dignified appearance and a lovely voice that is a little relaxing.
Swans herald the arrival of winter and bring a sense of winter into our daily lives.
Swans add color to our daily lives and provide comfort during the harsh winter, and they are an indispensable part of the winter scenery that can be seen from the shop.
In recent years, the winters have been warm, and last year the swans' stay was shorter than usual. I wondered how long the scenery of Nakatsugawa with the swans, which I thought would continue for a long time, would last. I felt a sense of crisis and thought that this moment may be fleeting.
This year marks our store's 10th anniversary.
We felt a strong desire to express ideas that could only be born in this environment, and as our first project, we decided to preserve the memory of this moment in the form of the SWAN COLLECTION.

Lavenham was founded in 1969 in a small, beautiful village in Suffolk, northeast of London.
In the same year, Horse Blanket was released.
In 1972, the brand introduced its iconic diamond quilted jacket.
The classic diamond quilting, a symbol of Lavenham, is made by crossing diamond-shaped corners and using elastic nylon upper thread and fluffy polyester lower thread to prevent fraying and increase durability.
All products are manufactured in our own factory in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Each product is carefully made using carefully selected fabrics, studs, webbing, etc., making it practical and durable.
