This cutting method is reminiscent of 18th- and 19th-century dress coats, where the sloping shoulder line creates a cleaner appearance on the front, and a slight bias allows the fabric to conform to the interlining. The shirt is cut with a deep rounded tail, and all sewing is done with cotton thread. By having design and manufacturing in parallel in the same location, we believe that more consistent and high-quality products can be created.\u003cbr\u003eOne reason for the unique texture of TENDER Co. garments is the selection of sewing machines used. Products sewn in the UK were primarily made with single-pass felled seams using feed-of-the-arm machines. Since these machines are not available in the new American factory, they are sewn using single-needle machines, resulting in a slightly flatter and more refined seam. On the other hand, because seams are finished in two sewing processes with visual judgment, the stitch lines are not perfectly uniform, and this slight unevenness adds a handcrafted touch.
